A Real Live Professional

So, it's true. I became a real life professional woman today. I started my internship. And it actually went ok for a first day. I was real nervous this morning (to the point I was pretty much sick), but I got over it, and made it to the offices of Piercy, Bowler, Taylor, and Kern. This morning was just all orientation stuff. Filling out paperwork, getting a computer, all that kind of fun stuff. Then I actually did an hour of real live accounting/auditing work. Since they haven't really assigned me to a team yet, I don't think I'm going to have much to do for the next little while. Today after lunch I pretty much had nothing to do so they gave me this HUGE binder (seriously, like four inches thick), and told me to read it since I didn't have anything to do! Haha! And I think that might be what I'm doing for the next little while. But everyone tells me its kind of slow when you first start working and to cherish it because it doesn't last long. But anyways, I can already tell that I'm going to learn A TON. I think I should pretty much be able to ace my auditing class that I have yet to take (isn't that funny considering I'm an audit intern?). Oh yes, and don't I look so happy/photogenic in this picture??

Summer Resolutions

So I have a lot of time this summer. FOUR months at home. And while I'll probably be busy with my internship, I've decided that I'm going to take all the other time I have to improve myself. As my wise friend Kaitlyn said, "Make this summer all about you." Now I know that sounds kind of selfish, but really, I want to go back to Hawaii the end of August as the 'NEW AND IMPROVED' Ashley. So anyways, here are a few of the things I'm going to work on:

1. I'm going to the gym. and often.
2. I'm going to improve my sewing skills. New dresses anyone?
3. I'm going to learn how to play the piano again. (I started today and I have a LONG way to go)
4. I'd just like to become generally crafty. You know, make a lot of crafts.
5. I'm going to learn how to budget and save my money. This will be hard.
6. And of course, I plan to become a master scriptorian.

So yes, that's all for now. I'll be sure to keep you guys updated on my summer resolutions.
